Micro Magnets
Micro magnet, also known as miniature magnet, mini magnet, or tiny magnet. It is generally agreed that miniature magnets are limited to the bonded magnet, but we can deliver sintered Neodymium magnet, sintered Samarium Cobalt magnet, sintered ferrite magnet, and cast AlNiCo magnet. These specialty magnets have already served to various kinds of applications include:
Sensors.
Optical devices.
Micro motors.
Medical devices.
Consumer Electronics.

Capabilities of Micro Magnets:
Sintered Neodymium magnet, sintered Samarium Cobalt magnet, and sintered ferrite magnet are all belonging to hard and brittle material which criticized in their processing difficulty. Our magnets have collected abundant experience on their production:
All shapes are offered, include disc, cylinder, ring and rectangular.
Diameter of micro hole can reach 1.10mm.
Ring magnet with ultra-thin wall thickness.
Super-tight tolerance: between +/-0.005mm and +/-0.020mm.
Conventional metal coating such as Nickel and Zinc can be provided. Biocompatible parylence coating can also apply to micro magnet.
Product Classifications of Micro Magnets:

Neodymium Micro Magnets:
Neodymium micro magnet is commonly founded in both injection molded magnets and compression molded magnets because of the binder is more flexible, but in fact, the material of micro magnet has been already expanded to ferrite magnets, sintered Neodymium magnets, sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets, and AlNiCo magnets. Neodymium micro magnet can be offered in micro disc magnets, micro block magnets, and micro ring magnets. Magnetic performance of sintered Neodymium magnets will be deteriorated after machining process, and this is largely due to the nucleation of magnetization reversal which occurred by surface oxidation and structural deformation. For Neodymium micro magnets, damaged area occupies the much larger proportion of the whole volume, then magnetic performance of Neodymium micro magnets decrease as the dimension declines. Sagawa found that coercivity of such Neodymium micro magnets restored after introduced heavy rare earth element (HREE) Dy film to the surface and processed a heat treatment. This work is also considered as an illuminating thinking to subsequent grain boundary diffusion (GBD) magnets. Besides conventional metal coating like Nickel or Zinc, biocompatible Parylene coating is also suitable for Neodymium micro magnets. We have the capability to ensure tolerance in the range of +/-0.005mm to +/-0.020mm via advanced laser incising and drilling technology.
SmCo Micro Magnets
Both sintered Neodymium magnets and sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets are produced by powder metallurgy technology and all belonging to hard and brittle material which well-known for their machining difficulty, especially sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets. As the first generation and the second generation rare earth permanent magnets, 1:5 type Samarium Cobalt magnets are relatively easier to machine compared with 2:17 type Samarium Cobalt magnets. Even sintered SmCo magnets are still notorious for its machining difficulty, it still playing an irreplaceable role in many areas due to its excellent high temperature magnetic performance and stability, therefore, the development SmCo micro magnets become extremely essential and urgent. SmCo micro magnets also can be used in the shape of SmCo micro ring magnets and SmCo micro disc magnets. SmCo micro magnet is commonly used to watches, sensors, medical devices, tele-communication devices, micro-electromechanical system (MEMS), and many other applications. The most representative among these applications is watch movement rotor magnets and optical isolator magnets. Watch movement rotor magnets could be described as the orgin of SmCo micro magnet. Wristwatch accessories manufacturers have fully absorbed processing experience from crystal industry and became the earliest manufacturers of SmCo micro magnet.
AlNiCo Micro Magnets
As the oldest commercially available permanent magnets, AlNiCo alloys are mainly composed of Al, Ni, Co and Fe. In addition, additive elements like Cu, Ti, and Nb can accelerate the growth of needle phase and hence enhance coercivity. Various grades of AlNiCo magnets are not merely having different composition, but also have its own specific heat treatment parameters. AlNiCo magnets can be further classified to isotropic magnet and anisotropic magnet accordingly to whether apply magnetic field or not. The Curie temperature of AlNiCo alloy is up to 890 degrees Celsius. AlNiCo magnets naturally possess an excellent heat resistance, temperature stability, and anti-corrosion performance. AlNiCo magnets are still occupying a certain market share in high temperature applications even sintered Samarium Cobalt magnets and sintered Neodymium magnets successively greatly compressed its market share. AlNiCo micro magnet is also called AlNiCo micro precision magnets, AlNiCo miniature magnets, AlNiCo mini-sized magnets, or AlNiCo tiny magnets. AlNiCo magnets can be manufactured by either sintering process or casting process, and material of AlNiCo mini magnets is generally select cast AlNiCo magnets. AlNiCo micro magnet is offered in AlNiCo micro ring magnets, AlNiCo micro disc magnets, and AlNiCo special shaped magnets. AlNiCo micro magnets are popular and widely used in sensors, consumer electronics, meters, and many other applications.
